Register & Track Court Cases

Handling case hearings and procedures in the GCC courts is a relatively complex process. Almost every court jurisdiction adopts separate case management procedures with many opting for a hybrid between an online and offline management systems. However, clients are mostly unaware of the types of procedures taking place in the courts. Their main concern is how their cases are being handled.

With WASI’s innovative cases module, we have simplified case management in bite-sized processes so that users can streamline their cases no matter the type or jurisdiction.

Pre-Requisites to Adding a New Case

WASI is organised such that every case that is added contains information and data that is streamlined. It is essential to include as much data as possible when performing case entry so that the case can be easily assigned from one attorney to another. Before adding a case, the system prompts the user to perform the following steps:

– Identified and added a Client

– Identified and added an Opponent. If more than one opponent is involved, then they can be added as well.

– Identified and added the jurisdiction. Jurisdictions can vary from federal courts, state courts, criminal courts or arbitration.

– Identified and added the case type

– Provided a brief summary of the claim

Once the above information has been fulfilled, the system will assign a master file number to the case for ease of tracking.

Our cases feature includes other hidden features that give the system great perks such as:

Add Previously Registered Cases

Not all cases that enter a firm start from pre-filing stage. This why he have inserted fields and functions that specify the status of a case the moment it is entered into the system. Hence, users have the ability to add a case no matter what stage it is in.

Add & Assign Civil or Criminal Cases

The beauty of our Cases feature is that it can be customized such that all types of cases can be entered. This includes civil cases, police complaints or arbitration cases.

Precedent Workflows

Precedent workflows is a great feature that assists both the lawyers and the clients. Users can add time checklists and milestones to any case so as to create more clarity on the case status. Such workflows can be created once and be used as templates for similar cases.

Upload Case Documents

As part of WASI, users can upload documents particular to any case on the system by simply attaching the documents in the documents tab. This way users can eliminate the need to obtain a separate document management system entirely.

Customisation Options in Settings (Check Clio)

No two cases are ever truly alike. That’s why WASI lets users add custom fields to every case. If there is a missing case type or jurisdiction, users can simply add them on the field.

Firm Feed

WASI’s Firm Feed tracks all the changes that happen in a case. This detailed listing informs users who touched the case and when they did so. From new documents to the latest hearings, if someone works in on a case matter, it is captured in the Firm Feed.
